Whether you are an existing or new parent looking for information this section should provide you with the details you need.
However, should you need more information then please contact our Group Scout Leader (email@example.com)
Our welcome pack for new members contains lots of useful information when your child joins the group, regardless of which section they are joining.
When your child joins the group he/she will pay subs or membership fees. This is necessary for the group to function.
Part of this subscription goes to County and National Scout Headquarters to pay for insurance and national staffing costs. Another part goes to the upkeep of the hall and the running of the group. The final part is returned to sections for activities, badges, books etc. If you have any questions regarding subs please contact our subs secretary
There are many ways in which you can support and help the Scout Group:
New leaders are always welcome – but we realise that the commitment needed for this may deter some people. However, help is always needed with the organisation and running of fund-raising events.
Or perhaps you’d like to help with odd jobs such as as gardening or maintaining the hall. Whatever skills you have, we can use them! Or we can help you develop new skills you didn’t even realise you had!!
If you feel you can help in any way then please contact our chairperson.(firstname.lastname@example.org)
It is one of the Scout Associations requirements that each scout group has an executive committee. We have renamed our committee as the Parents’ Committee.
The key to a successful group is to have an active Parents’ Committee to assist the Group Scout Leader. We are always in need of new members.
As well as new committee members we would be very pleased to hear from any parents who may be able to organise just one of our events during the year.
If you would like to come and be part of a thriving scout group providing outdoor activities to the local young people then please contact our chairperson.(email@example.com)
